Logan’s long association (since 2009) with the Dairy Effluent Storage Calculator (DESC) has given him an in-depth knowledge of the DESC.

He managed the software rewrite of the DESC to the web-based version we have today, so has an intimate understanding of the calculations and inner workings of the DESC.

Coupled with his own farming experience, Logan has a unique ability to best fit on farm situations into the model for the optimum outcome. He is regularly called on by DairyNZ, research organisations, milk companies, Regional Councils and other consultants to help them understand how the DESC works and why it predicts its outputs.

Logan is recognized as “suitably qualified” by regional councils for consent work, Fonterra for winter milk contracts, and most banks for “green” loan supporting information
